Dabbles in Non-Fiction Reading - Low Wage Work

Image
I just finished reading On the Clock: What Low-Wage Work Did to Me and How It Drives America Insane. 5 STARS! Journalist Emily Guendelsberger is a journalist and when her newspaper went under, she took various low wage jobs working at an Amazon warehouse, a call center, and McDonalds. This book was the perfect read for me at this time as I’m struggling with the inequality of jobs and the inequality of wealth distribution in the U.S. This book gave me perspective on what some of these workers deal with and enraged with how much work they do for so little pay. And I’m so frustrated because I don’t know what I can do about it.
